My Aunt Nancy Harriet Lee, born August 1904 in rural Bloomington, Ohio never ignored or forgot her heritage that included Africa so often denigrated or excluded by education institutions she attended from childhood elementary through university graduate school.  In the 1980s, during her retirement years, she had an opportunity to help raise private funding in support of a badly needed heritage classroom at her alma mater.
