| Robert Jerome Thomas noted that his mother, following a divorce, had changed his name to Thomas from that of unknown father believed to be one of men listed listed in link above. Thomas noted for certain that his father was from and lived in Maryland for many years. In an interview prior to passing away, Thomas recalled travels to his Jackson roots in Maryland, and acknowledged that while he did not meet the deceased father, other family members noted his close resemblance.
