| | Just to stir up the pot.... Has anyone questioned why Lewis Brady/Braddy of Gates County, NC, took off and married in Johnston County, NC, in 1770, when there was a Brady family already in Johnston County? Is everyone SURE that there aren't at least two Lewis Brady/Braddy's in the time frame - one in Gates County and one in Johnston Co? In 1779, Lewis Brady was back in Gates County as he was listed as a juror.
I believe the Lewis Brady in Warren County, GA is the Lewis Brady/Braddy, the son of James and Mary of Gates Co., who was mentioned in James' will as I think his sisters Ruth Philips and Sarah Ellis were perhaps also Warren Co., GA, in 1820.
