| Our limited research indicates that W.H. Banister recorded in the 1900 census data may have been the son of Nancy Lee Banister. We not know for certain, excepting that Nancy's father was a Banister and she interchangeably used the surname Banister, Lee or both until she relocated to Ohio with three of her Virginia born children. For lack of better information, we also think W.H. is an abreviation for William Henry and he may have also used the name William Henry Lee. We do not know for certain.
